US Ambassador meets new Prosecutor: “Investigation of high-level politicians, including Saimir Tahiri”
The US Ambassador to Albania, Donald Lu, entered the Prosecution General offices in a positive mood.
The US diplomat had not entered the institution since February 2017, when there was an exchange of accusations and declarations with former Prosecutor General Adriatik Llalla.
Accompanied by John Smaibert, Chief of the OPDAT Mission, one of the most active people involved with the judiciary reform, Lu met with Arta Marku for 30 minutes.
Sources confirmed for Top Channel that the US Ambassador encouraged the Prosecutor General to target high-level corruption and criminality, including the investigations on Saimir Tahiri
