The concerns expressed by the people with special needs in Albania were expressed to the government through a report sent by the UN Committee for the Rights of People with Special Needs.
Albania has ratified the UN conventions and the government will now have to ratify it.
The UN Committee has sent 25 recommendations for the Albanian government.
The law states that for every 25 employees, the employer must hire one person with special needs. But this has changed for the worse.
The vice-speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Vasilika Hysi, has offered her own support to improve the situation.
The accessibility of the people with special needs is another concern on which Albania has still much to do.
