Two US citizens, one of them of Albanian origin, were arrested in Tirana while preparing to produce synthetic drug.
Dominic De Caro and Arber Sadiku, both born and residents of New York, had been under DEA’s watchlist for years.
They were arrested at the Morina border checkpoint, trying to leave the country. The operation also had members of the American DEA.
Police seized the instruments that would be used for preparing synthetic drugs.
The operation was realized in cooperation with the US agents, who sent a recommendation to the Albanian police.
