The US Vice President, Mike Pence, declared from Montenegro that the
support to Western Balkan countries will not change for any of its
countries.

Pence is currently in Montenegro, to attend a summit between Western Balkan countries.

“With President Trump, the USA will keep supporting any of you so that we can progress together”, said the second person in charge at the White House.

From Montenegro, Pence addressed a message to Russia:

“Russia keeps trying to forcefully change international borders. In  Balkan they have made efforts to destabilize the region, damage democracy and divide you from each other and from the rest of Europe. President Trump has made it clear to Russia that they should stop destabilization efforts. I can guarantee that the USA exclude any effort to use force, threats or intimidations in this region and beyond. Western Balkan countries have the right to chose their own future, and this right belongs only to you”, Pence says.

For the US President, global security against ISIS is one of the main matters. For this reason he reminded once again the request of President Trump, which is to increase defense investments. On the same time, Pence thanked Balkan countries for their commitment in this battle.

“Less than one year ago, some of your countries interrupted ISIS plans for coordinated attacks in Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia. The USA are grateful for your contribution in the global campaign to beat ISIS”, Pence said.

The Vice President addressed a message to the seven present leaders: “Take this opportunity through your actions to get your countries closer to the West. Closed the unfinished matters in Western Balkan, and complete the trip that we started together years ago”, Mike Pence declared.
