Albania has 36 points, from 33 that it used to have one year ago, in a measurement system that gives 100 points to the countries with zero corruption and 0 to those with maximal level of corruption. The report classified 167 countries in the entire world.

This is the second consequent year in which Albania marks improvement in corruption.

However, Albania remains one of the countries with the highest level of corruption in Southeastern Europe, leaving behind Moldavia and Kosovo, both ranked 103rd.

Other countries such as Macedonia, Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina have a lower level than Albania.
