As the situation at the border point with Greece, Kakavija remains chaotic, tragedy truck today as a child was fatally struck by an ambulance.
It is reported that on the Jorgucat-Kakavija road axis, in a place called Bularat, an ambulance at high speed hit the 10-year-old , with the initials S.N., who died on the spot. The child was reportedly part of the waiting line to cross to Greece with his family.
Sources for Top Channel inform that the ambulance was transporting a patient from Kakavija in the direction of Gjirokastra, at the moment when the child went out on the street, where the fatal collision took place.
Police notification:
“An ambulance, which was speeding from Kakavija towards the Gjirokastra Regional Hospital with a woman with health problems, hit a 10 years old child near the Bularat turn, who died on the spot.
“The Police Services have accompanied the driver of the ambulance, A.G. for further actions.
Meanwhile, the police services with a Traffic Police vehicle transported in the direction of the regional hospital the citizen who was in the ambulance for medical assistance. “
