Top Channel’s investigative program unmasks lawyers who suspended case for 4000 EUR

Top Channel’s investigative program, “Fiks Fare”, has unmasked to well-known lawyers in Tirana and Vlora, who were paid 4000 EUR for suspending a case.

A citizen reported that two lawyers, Vladimir Sadikaj from Vlora and Baftjar Rusi from Tirana demanded 4000 Euros to close a case that was opened unfairly by the Himara Police over theft charges.

The citizen says he was being accused for 10 thefts for which there was no evidence, except for a witness who had recognized him. When the citizen confronted this witness, he admitted that he had been forced to do it.

Top Channel was able to prove through the help of hidden cameras how the citizen had given 3000 Euros to the lawyers. One of them is filmed asking him to pay another 1000 for suspending the case.

The citizen says that he was surrounded by police at the Vuno village, then he was taken under custody and charged with 10 thefts in the Himara area. He confirms that he stayed for 20 days in the police, because of 1.3 grams of cocaine that he had on him when he was arrested, but not for the thefts.
