Tabi, a war refugee, was thrilled seeing two Albanians playing for Switzerland and celebrating their goals against Serbia by making the eagle symbol.

He is a 23-year-old boy with a Syrian father and Moroccan mother. He has been living for the past eight months at the Babrru refugee centre. He has studied to become a nurse, but football is his big dream.

“I know Albanian teams very well, such as Partizan and Tirana. I want a chance. I am hoping for a manager to be tested. I have played in Turkey as well, with Basaksehir. Football is my life and my dream”, he said.

Top Channel: Would you like to play with Albania’s National Team?

Tabi: Of course. I am a midfielder, very technical. I would be playing very well.

Another refugee says that he has entered the country from Kapshtica, five days ago, and he wants to keep staying in Albania.

The center of asylum seekers is full of people from other countries than Syria.

“I come from Yemen”, says another.  “I have heard that there is a good living in Albania”.
