The Tirana Prosecution demanded 4 years in prison for the former
political persecuted, Perikli Shqevi, accused of intentionally wounding
his friend, Gjergj Ndreca.
Last september, a group of former political prisoners started a hunger strike for their rights. Some incidents took place inside the strike tent, such as the burning of Gjergj Ndreca, for which his friend Perikli Shqevi is accused of lighting up the flames.
The court decided to give a verdict for Shqevi on September 24th. The former political prisoner, Skender Tufa, reacted and declared that the Prosecution’s demand is absurd, adding that this is another attack against the strikers.
