On the International Volunteer Day, citizens and children joined the initiative of the Tirana Municipality for donating toys and clothes, which will be sent to social centers, kindergartens and schools.
“Tirana may have 1 million problems, but there are also 1 million chances to be charitable. It has now turned into a tradition. December will be the month of solidarity”, declared the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.
Children in need will receive many donations during this month. “Our colleagues have placed cabins throughout Tirana to collect toys that you don’t use anymore. We can recycle them. Whoever has five toys or clothes, he could give two to these cabins”, the Mayor declared.
