The Tirana-Elbasan highway should have been finished by now, but one segment is still functioning with only one lane.
The Albanian Road Authority say the delay is due to technical reasons caused by weather problems.
However, the construction teams are working with intensity and the full opening is a matter of days.
The road started in 2011, was inaugurated in 2013 by the Berisha government, only for the Kerraba tunnel, and then a landslide threw very large rocks on it, damaging one lane for a few hundred meters.
