An unusual session took place today in the Parliament of Albania as the MPs of the DP opposition protested strongly against the absence of the Prime Minister after the scandal of the ties with the arrested former head of the FBI.

Lushnja MP Bledar Korreshi blew a whistle, while other MPs hit the tables.

In one episode, the opposition group of former Prime Minister Berisha blocked the pulpit for about an hour.

Berisha’s group requested the change of the day agenda so that the motion with debate on the case of former FBI head McGonigal, could take place without a time limit and all MPs could speak.

But this request did not receive the necessary votes and was rejected.

Today it was expected that the interpellation between Prime Minister Edi Rama and the head of the DP Group, Enkelejd Alibeaj, would also take place on the case of the FBI official, Charles McGonigal.

But the head of the government did not go to the Assembly and delegated the interpellation to the minister Elisa Spiropali, which was not accepted by the opposition DP deputies, who demand an interpellation with PM Rama himself and none of the ministers.
