Gjykata e Lartë vendosi të premten masën e sigurisë ‘arrest me burg’ për
deputetin Mark Frroku. Frroku’s lawyers say they were surprised by this
measure and considered it illegal due to the lack of evidence.
The session was held behind closed doors due to investigation secrecy. The Prosecution presented acts that Frroku’s lawyers say they had not seen before.
Besides the murder charges from Belgium, Frroku is also charged with money laundering and refusing to declare his assets by the Albanian Prosecution.
Sources from the Prosecution say that his assets mount up to three million USD.
The lawyer of the MP, Saimir Vishaj, said that the accusations were absurd, based on a report of the High Inspectorate of Declaration and Audit of Assets.
