Storm on coastal areas interrupts the vacationers’ sunbathing sessions

In footage shot by holidaymakers, umbrellas and chairs can be seen flying in the wind and ending up in the sea, while employees of coast entities are seen running to catch the umbrellas.

During the morning hours, heavy rains fell in the city of Vlora and the temperatures dropped significantly.

The coast of Durrës had an unusual appearance as the Adriatic beaches and the coastal promenade “Taulantia” were abandoned by vacationers.

In the areas of the northern beaches of Albania, the situation was more stable.

Meanwhile parts of the city and villages of Librazhd as well as Prrenjas had a power outages for several hours. The authorities have not yet announced where the fault occurred.

Meanwhile, temperatures have dropped significantly today across the country.
