The envoy of the American Secretary of State, Gabriel Escobar met today with the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama in Tirana.
Top Channel’s Muhamed Veliu reports that Mr. Escobar told the Prime Minister that the US in the coming months will escalate the fight against corruption in Albania to the highest levels, but without giving specific details.
Escobar was also received by the Albanian Minister for Europe, Olta Xhaçka, who expressed her gratitude for the US support for Albania and the Western Balkans region.
Xhaçka stated that Albania welcomes the cooperation with American friends and partners for the region’s development agenda.
