Kosovo authorities have tested security in Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj’s office, through a staged infiltration of an explosive filled package that has actually arrived at the destination.

As reported by the media in Kosovo, the package sent by “George Michael” arrived to the Prime Minister’s office, but it did not contain any gifts, rather two kg of TNT explosive.

This was a big failure of security in the Prime Minister’s building after the package passed all the security filters. The simulation was done in coordination with the prime minister’s office. Haradinaj’s security and the Kosovo Government building are guarded by the Kosovo Police.

Asked by Top Channel, spokesman of this police, Baki Kelani said: “Depending on the results and findings of these inspections, as well as after proper analysis, Kosovo Police plans appropriate trainings for the staff involved, will request for the purchase of more advanced equipment in order to be able to respond in time to any threats and also will take disciplinary measures against police officers”.

This is not the first case of simulating an “attack” in the building of the Government of Kosovo. In the past, a “mechanic” has managed to enter the building with two firearms, while in another case a “disabled” person managed to get inside the building carrying a long rifle.
