SPAK seizes land, hotels, apartments owned by organized crime

The Special Prosecution Against Corruption (SPAK) has started its work vigorously.

SPAK reports that they filed the request to criminally prosecute several defendants.

They are accused of “Drug Traffic”, production and fabrication of narcotics as a structured criminal group.

They are also accused of committing criminal acts through organized crime, money laundering and production of narcotics.

During the investigation of this case, 38 other defendants were brought to trial. Astrit Balliu (alias Avdyli,Sulejmani), Altin Avdyli, Jasin Kala (alias Avdyli), Gjevi (alias Xhevahir) Ndoka, Esat Mehmeti, Petrit Sulejmani, Saimir Sulejmani, Hajri Seferi, Orges Jahelezi, Shkëlqim Avdyli, Denis Llaftiu, Saimir Gjepali, Mario (alias Edinjo) Zeqiri, Elton Shehaj, Fatos Llaftiu, Ardit Gjyriqi, Admir Hoxha, Hekuran Hoxha, Iskënder Sale (alias Mehmet Gjini), Xhemal Shala, Xhevit Shuti, Flamur Çelaj, Vehbi Berushi, Mustaf Shuti, Anila Shuti,

So far, 63 defendants have been sent for trial.  The authorities have also seized 300,000 m2 of land, hotels, apartments, and vehicles with a value of around €5 mln.
