Special prosecutor Klodian Braho, resigned today from the investigation of the notorious file 277/1, one of the acts in the corruption investigation on the Elbasan incinerator.

The resignation was confirmed through an official announcement that the SPAK special prosecutor’s office shared on Friday, where it says that the investigation has already been taken over by the head of the structure, Altin Dumani, and prosecutor Enkeleda Millonaj.

In the same announcement, SPAK adds that another prosecutor, Eneid Nakuçi has become part of inquieries, since Klodian Braho had included him in four acts, but according to the announcement, he has never carried out investigative actions.

Both Braho and Nakuçi have been accused of concealing the evidence implicating former minister Arben Ahmetaj in the Elbasan incinerator.

The evidence of the invoices that defendant on the run Klodian Zoto, has paid over the years for Arben Ahmetaj’s vacations and the messages that shows that Zoto purchased the villa where SPAK carried out searches on Thursday evening, were in the hands of the two prosecutors Nakuçi and Braho, but the order for the search was given only after the file passed onto the hands of Dumani and Millonaj.

Braho and Nakuçi did not act for months, even though they divided the file into four acts, but in none of them Ahmetaj was mentioned, nor was the Ministry of Economic Development and Entrepreneurship, which he headed at the time of granting the concession.

From the testimonies given by the other members of the commission that reviewed the concession, it appears that his ministry had a central role in determining the concession procedure with ‘negotiation without announcement’, which the two prosecutors Braho and Nakuçi admit in the file “it was illegal”.
