“Rrogozhina goes forward with Edison Memollaj and the Socialist Party” greeted socialist leader Edi Rama yesterday’s victory in the repeated elections in this municipality.
“After yesterday’s re-elections in Rrogozhin, our candidate deepens the victory of May 14, where he came won by 21 votes, with a spectacular advantage of 1752 votes. Congratulations Edison and a big well done to our whole team” – PM Rama wrote.
Erion Veliaj, SP’s political leader for the Tirana region, commented on Edison Memolla’s victory in Rrogozhinë, first by thanking the left and the right, as he says, for giving SP a support beyond expectations.
Whereas the former prime minister of the DP opposition, Sali Berisha, tried to justify the defeat of Rrogozhina by claiming manipulations.
“The vote was closed in Rrogozhina in the most criminal way, as the mandate that the citizens of Rrogozhina gave to the candidate of ‘Bashkë Fitojme’, Shkëlqim Hoxha, was stolen from him in a criminal and illegal manner by the institutions of the electoral farce. They trampled in an unworthy, illegal way, the vote of the citizens of Rrogozhina and ordered a new election process, in which I tell you here that all the ugliest illegal phenomena of the farce of May 2023, were manifested,” Berisha said.
