SP: Berisha must not stay silent

The Socialist Party declared that the Prime Minister is violating any
transparency norm with their silence about the billionaire wealth of the
Prime Minister’s children, his son in law, his brother in law Agim Rama
and his wife’s niece, Elvana Hana.
MP Taulant Balla declared that transparency on state administration wealth is a responsibility and obligation in every democratic country.
“Referring to the declarations filled by Berisha himself and his relatives, we noted that their wealth has increased in disproportion with the economic situation for most of the Albanians. While the population is holding the economic crisis burden on their shoulders, Berisha’s biological family gets richer every day”, Balla reported.
The Socialist MP reiterated that Berisha should answer, if he has nothing to hide.
“How is it possible that while advocating the formalization of economy, Berisha keeps 1 million ALL in his house, money that he had forgotten to declare? How is it possible that his daughter received 14.6 million ALL in one year by teaching, the most paid teacher in the world? Which are the universities that have paid her so much, becoming rivals with the most prestigious universities in the world? How many hours a year is she teaching, to receive that kind of payment?”, Basha asked.
According to him, Berisha will never answer for this, but he promised that the SP will not leave without investigating any of their assets.
“Albania will come once again to life after June 23rd, together with the missing justice. A real justice that will enable a full investigation on how 1.3 billion USD left Albania during Berisha’s government, that’s why Berisha should start making transparency now for the wealth of his children and relatives. 2013 is the year of change”, Balla declared.
