The Socialist Party in power has today sent a complaint to the CEC, where penalities are requested against the opposition candidate for the municipality of Tirana, Belind Kellici as according to them, the latter has broken the electoral code by making an electoral appeal with electoral promises.

Socialists demand that this violation of Kelliçi be punished so that such a thing is not repeated in the future.

In today’s statement, Kelliçi said: If you want to ride the buses to be free after May 14, or for the underpass in “Skënderbej” square to become a reality, if you want lower taxes for your small and medium-sized business, if you want oases of

parks, get out there and vote, take part in the voting en masse.

SP complaint stated: “In the press release, broadcast live today, May 14, 2023, around 3:30 p.m., we find that the candidate of the coalition “We win together” in the local elections, Mr.

Belind Kelliçi, violated Article 77 of the Electoral Code, connecting the appeal for participation in the vote with the electoral promises made during the campaign. Based on the above, in order to guarantee a regular election process in accordance with the standards of the legislation in force, please take measures in accordance with Article 174 of the Electoral Code to penalize this violation.”
