Socialist majority approves the law on obligatory work in the country for Albanian medical students

Deputies of the socialist majority approved today in the plenary session with 73 votes in favor, 0 against and 0 abstentions, the draft law on the obligatory work in Albania medical graduates.

The law requires at least 3 years of work in Albania for students who graduate in medicine, to avoid premature immigration to European countries where young doctors are often lured by the better salaries.

The Assembly also approved the draft law “On the organization and operation of the national infrastructure of geo-spatial information in the Republic of Albania” as well as the draft law “On organic production, labeling of organic products and their control”.

The Assembly rejected with 7 votes in favor, 61 abstentions and 4 against, the draft decision for the election of the candidate Erjon Fejzulla, as a member of the High Judicial Council from the ranks of civil society representatives.

The Assembly also approved the proposal of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania for the candidacy of Besnik Dervishi, for Commissioner for the Right to Information and Protection of Personal Data.
