Low temperatures and heavy snowfalls have blocked the national roads
throughout the country. The Gjirokaster-Sarande road has been blocked
for several hours, while the Qafa e Muzines road was opened only after
several hours, due to the snow.
Some communes in Gjirokaster are still blocked, together with some others in Korce, such as Opari, Dardhe and Vithkuq. Problems were seen in the Korce-Pogradec road, in Grabovice. Snow thickness inside the city of Korce has reached 40 cm, while in mountains it is 80 cm. in Qafe-Thana, Qafa e Qarrit and Korce-Kapshtice can only be crossed with snow chains.
Snow in Librazhd has created problems in traffic, but all roads were opened. The roads in the northern part of the country are facing the dangers of ice on asphalt, in the districts of Diber, Kukes, Tropoje, Malesi e Madhe.
Difficult are also the roads of Qafe Mali-Fierze, Qafe Mali-Kukes, Shkoder-Vermosh, Shkoder-Dukagjin, Peshkopi-Librazhd. There have been other problems in Diber and Puke.
