Slander lawsuit against Basha suspended after Beqaj didn’t appear in Court

The Health Minister failed to appear in court in the trial against the
opposition leader, Lulzim Basha, who had been sued over slander.

Basha had declared last NOvember that a 31-million EUR tender was given to the firm owned by the Minister and other people tied to the power.

Although Beqaj had filed the lawsuit, he caused it to be suspended by not appearing at the session.

The lawyer of Minister Beqaj’s lawyer said that the Court took the decision when Beqaj was only two minutes late, behind the Court’s door.
