Liverpool’s Kosovo Albanian player, Xherdan Shaqiri, will not miss the match in Belgrade, although his presence in Serbia’s capital is expected to be unwelcome.
The talent of the Swiss national team asked his coach, Jurgen Klop, to keep him in the team that will travel to Serbia.
Shaqiri was born in Gjilan, Kosovo. He was fined this summer by FIFA for gesturing the eagle of the Albanian flag, after scoring a goal against Serbia, during a match at the Russia 2018 World Cup.
