The Bishop of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Amfilohije, compared the
presence of the international missions in Kosovo with Serbia’s German
occupation by Adolf Hitler.
He even said that the Nazi were more reasonable than the European politicians.
Amfilohije’s comment refers to the Kosovo government efforts, supported by EU and NATO, for taking under control the Serbian enclaves.
“I ask all politicians, local and European, to start reasoning and review their positions, in order to find a solution for the Kosovo tragedy”, he declared.
“Hitler was reasonable enough to leave Northern Kosovo under the Serbian administration, although it was occupied by Germany”, Amfilohije declared.
The international KFOR troops had planned to intervene for removing the roadblocks in Northern Kosovo, but this attempt failed.
The KFOR commander, Erhard Drews admitted that the operation had failed and expressed his disappointment for the position held by the Northern Kosovo citizens.
