The former leader of the Social Democratic Party in Romania, Liviu Dragnea, and his two children, will not be allowed to enter the USA.
Dragnea, one of the most powerful persons in his country, was declared non-grata by the US State Department due to corruption accusations.
Several Albanian politicians were also declared non-grata in the USA, such as Tom Doshi, Adriatik Llalla, Vangjush Dako and their relatives.
According to statistics, Romania has the highest corruption level in the EU, and the Social-Democrat Party was seen as a threat to the independence of the judiciary.
