Fiks Fare show brought tonight the case of a building in the city of Durrës, damaged by the earthquake of November 2019 and remaining so today with still no intervention from the authorities.
The residents of the building say that their building needs reconstruction, as the authorities also admitted, but nothing is being done even though 4 years have passed.
One of the residents says that they received 50,000 lek each for internal reconstructions, while the municipality has yet not acted on the intervention in the structure of the building.
“We are living on rent, the municipality does not give us any timeline for when it will do the reconstruction,” says a resident.
Another interviewee says that they have gone to the municipality several times, but no one deals with their problem, so they asked for the help of Fiks Fare.
The investigative show asked for an answer from the Municipality of Durrës, who clarified in the official answer that the request for the approval of the fund of 43 million lek was sent to the ministry in January 2023, but it did not receive an answer although in it were specified all the budgets and projects as well as the urgency of the intervention.
Today these residents wander the streets without having an answer as to when they can enter their homes again.
