The mission of repatriation of Albanian children to Syria has started. The news was given by the Syrian Red Crescent, which explains that the joint humanitarian efforts have made it possible for Albanian children in Syria to return to their homeland.

While the Syrian government provided all the necessary facilities, the #Syrian Red Crescent successfully enabled Albanian families living in the Al-Hol camp in Hasakeh to return to their homeland at the request of the Albanian government.

Under the supervision of Eng. Khaled Hboubati, President of SARC, the families underwent comprehensive medical tests before leaving the camp, from where the Syrian Arab Red Crescent accompanied them to Damascus.

Mark Ghareeb, Albania’s Chief of Mission to Lebanon, will accompany the families on their journey from Damascus to Albania.

SARC thanks the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and, in particular, Mr. Francesco Rocca, President of IFRC, and all Humanitarian partners, as well as stakeholders on the ground, for their efforts to facilitate SARC humanitarian missions sought to alleviate humanitarian suffering and protect the dignity of the people affected.
