Preliminary investigations into the death of 31-year-old Ilvi Meta inside the Kavaja police station on Wednesday evening, show that it was a case of suicide but the relatives of the deceased raise suspicions, as according to them he did not suffer on police escort or detention.
The last contact that the family members had with Ilvin was at 18:00 on May 4, when they went to the police station and brought him food after he was detained as a suspect for a theft.
The victim’s sister casts doubt on a police officer’s revenge on him or the orthet brother who often mocked them. Meanwhile 3 police officers are accused of abuse of office in the case, as with their actions and inactions did not prevent the death.
