While the Democrats were repeating their ritual for abandoning the
Parliament, after the appeal made by Sali Berisha, the Socialists said
that the opposition would have to vote the justice reform or go to early
elections.
“You are trying to delay the justice reform, but there will be early elections if you don’t vote and his time you will receive not 1 million slap-votes, but 1.1 million slap-votes”, said the Socialist Parliamentary Group Vice Leader, Taulant Balla.
The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, answered from Washingtn, where he is attending a high-level visit, and said that it is not a matter of choice between the justice reform and early elections. The choice is to have both, justice reform and free and fair elections.
Basha used the same words of Sali berisha from Washington, when he said that the National Bureau of Investigation should pass before the other amends of the justice reform.
“This is a test of sincerity for the majority. The first test for the justice reform is the National Bureau of Investigation, an instrument that fights high-level corruption. Secondly, it is the implementation of the fight against corruption through this Bureau and the monitoring of this implementation by the USA and the EU”, Basha underlined.
In Tirana, Sali Berisha, who is leading the strategy of the opposition for the justice reform, said that it is up to Prime Minister Rama to chose one of the two variants of the Venice Commission for the Bureau of Investigation.
