Rama’s Publishing House left out of Book Fair

Controversies continue between the Publishers Associations and the Dudaj
Publishing House, for the fact that the latter has not been allowed to
participate in the Book Fair that will start in Tirana on November 9th.

Dudaj has published an article on the Shekulli Newspaper, saying that they have been left out because they have published the book “Kurban”, written by the Socialist leader, Edi Rama.

The Chairman of the Publishers Association, Petrit Ymeraj, declared that the politicization of this issue is an advertising move. He says that “Dudaj” wasn’t allowed in the fair because they had failed to respect the registration rules. Ymeraj underlined that everyone is equal in the Book Fair.

Mrs. Dudaj, the owner of the “Dudaj Publishing House”, declared that this situation was created due to unfair competition between the Publishers Association and the “Albanian Book”, an association to which she belongs.

“I have no reason to advertise a book that doesn’t need advertising. I am here because I want to be part of the fair. Our Publishing house was left out and our annual space was occupied. We haven’t said that we would boycott the fair”, Arlinda Dudaj declared.
