By underlining the propositions made by the Socialist Party and the fact
that the dialogue table about the justice reforms was boycotted by the
majority, the SP leader declared that the opposition will continue to
follow what he called “the policy of the offered hand” in behalf of
Albania’s EU integration.

“We will continue to look forward, to be the voice and strength of the future, because the country needs the guarantee of the future and the candidate status is the best proof for this.

Rama reiterated the most important propositions of the Socialist Party, that of decreasing the Albanians’ life cost by removing the taxes on bread, milk, eggs and medicines, and by reducing with 6% the tax of electrical power and the tax that is being taken by the farmers for agricultural inputs.

“These necessary and radical measures would decrease the cost of the everyday life for common families. We will make it reality as soon as we will come to power. The government continues to refuse these measures, by lying all the time to defend these taxes that are a burden to the Albanians who eat bread, fill a glass of milk, buy one egg or have an aspirin”, Rama declared.

After mentioning why these measures were indispensable, the Socialist leader underlined the importance of the new drafts that will be presented at the Congress of November 5th, for the new organization program of this political force.
