Rama: We will change the economic model

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, held a speech at the Finance and
Economy University in Tianjin, known as among the 15 best universities
in China.
Rama underlined that the government led by him is determined to change the economic model of Albania, which used to be based on remittances and the construction sector.
”This is why we created a new path that leads to economic development. We are aware that we should be mature and use our geographical location, natural assets and the young population with maturity. We are working to eliminate some main obstacles, such as informality and property issues, making sure that at least 70% of land owners will have their property titles by the end of this mandate. On the same time, we are implementing reforms in the tax and customs offices. We are making a territorial administration reform and we are holding a constant process of liberalization and innovation. The government is treating a series of essential problems for the economy and for our society”, Rama declared.
Another point mentioned by the Prime Minister was the government’s approach to investors and entrepreneurs. Rama said that building a partnership relation is very important, and that everything started from the conception of a clear packages of rules that would improve this relation.
