After the demolition of a concrete dam at the Holta Canyon, the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, declared that the magic beauty of the Holta Canyon will never be touched.
“We have given our word in public that this hydropower plant should not be constructed there, and it will not. We do what we say. You just need to be a bit patient in general”, the PM leader said.
The Holta residents have opposed the construction and even staged protests, forcing the government to cancel the project.
