The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, and Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati, are today at the capital of Bulgaria, where the Sofia summit between European and Western Balkan leaders is taking place.
This is the first summit of this kind 15 years after the one in Thessaloniki. Rama is received by the President of Bulgaria, Bojko Borisov.
In the video shown on Rama’s Facebook profile, the Prime Minister is seen having a very cordial meeting with Serbian President Vucic and the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker.
The Sofia summit aims to give a new push to the relations between the EU and Western Balkans. The EU leaders will discuss the progress of each Balkan country as an aspiring EU member, but also other important projects for both parties.
