The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, met today with the United States
Ambassador to Tirana, Alexander Arvizu, with whom he reconfirmed the
continuing relations between Albania and the United States.
By the end of the meeting Rama declared that Albania shares the same values with America and emphasized that the alliance between the two countries is indisputable.
“The meeting confirmed our full affiliation with the United States values, our loyalty to our biggest strategic ally and our friendly feelings for the American people”, Rama declared.
“I guaranteed the Ambassador that the upcoming years of this mandate will reinforce the cooperation with the United States”, the Prime Minister underlined.
On his behalf, Ambassador Arvizu valued the readiness offered by Rama and promised that the United States government will assist his administration for realizing the reform agenda.
“I have the pleasure to congratulate Prime Minister Rama on behalf of the United States government. Our relations are close and we are reconfirming the commitment of the United States to assist this administration for the ambitious reform agenda”, Arvizu declared.
The United States diplomat accredited to Tirana suggested the government leader to give priority to the European Integration and valued his ideas for stability in the Balkans.
“The new government must focus on the candidate status and the European Union accession. We believe that the government of Prime Minister Rama will be dedicated to guarantee stability and peace in the region”, Arvizu declared.
Earlier the day Prime Minister Rama met with the Macedonian president, Gjorgje Ivanov, a meeting that emphasized the cooperation between the two countries and the importance of Macedonia’s integrity for Albania.
