The most common abuse found by the Industrial and Technical State Inspectorate is the mixing of imported oil with the one extracted in Albania.
Several wholesale and retail businesses were caught with such abuses, a violation that is directly considered a tax evasion.
The Inspectorate has fined the companies that are abusing with the quality, while there are higher inspections.
On the other hand, Albanians pay a special tax in every liter of oil for the marking of fuels, whose purpose is to make it easier to notice such violations through labs. But this has not stopped several businesses from abusing with the quality.
