Today is the second day that citizens protest in front of the Prime Minister’s office against the increase of the oil price. Dozens of protesters gathered to demand lower fuel and food product prices. Just like the day before, protesters have occupied the streets to block the circulation of vehicles, asking them to turn off their cars in protest.

“It simply came to our notice then. I invite everyone to participate and become interlocutors with each other here, to display all the misery. All those citizens who feel that they should show their revolt, must feel united today, it is the only way,” said an activist.

“A critique also of the opposition, which left the situation to come to this point. Great God protect these people,”, said another citizen.

A protesting woman expressed concern about the increase in prices as she receives only a pension of 15 thousand ALL and can not survive along with her husband with the prices of food products that increase as a result of the increase in the price of oil.

“I am a 62-year-old mother, I was denied of social assistance by a disabled husband. With 15 thousand lek a month we must both live. I come on behalf of all disabled people, people have no bread at home, the first one is me. What should I do?

“The disability pension of 7000 lek has been removed everywhere, why”, she stated.

Meanwhile, other protests took place in cities of Albania, such as Lushnje, Durres, Korca, Shkodra, Bulqiza.

Citizens have announced that on Saturday there will be a march in Tirana at 11:00.
