Prosecution’s request for January 21st case

On the 39th session of the trial, after eight months of judicial debates
and confrontations for the case of January 21st murders, when four
protesters were killed during a demonstration of the opposition, the
Tirana Prosecution published their request. Their conclusion came after
50 pages of arguments, all against Ndrea Prendi, the former Chief of
National Guard; the former National Guard officer, Agim Llupo, and the
former driver Margarit Kume.

The Prosecution demanded 23 years in prison for General Prendi, for the murder of protester Faik Myrtaj, who was killed by a direct shot and not a rebound, according to the Prosecution. The data show that the National Guard Chief weapon has fired 11 shots.

The Prosecution demanded 25 years in prison for Agim Llupo, the only one who is under arrest for the murder of Ziver Veizi and Hekuran Deda.

As for Margarit Kume, the Prosecution withdraw its request.
