Arben Idrizi, the General Secretary of the Presidency, resigned today
from a post he was keeping since 2013. The reason of his resignation is
unknown, but sources inside the Presidency say the decision was based on
personal motives.
Idrizi was hired by President Nishani in 2012, and was commanded General Secretary after Bardh Spahia ran for MP in Shkoder.
His wife, Altina Xhoxhaj, is member of the Constitutional Court, an institution that has been recently under attention for several hot topics.
Arben Idrizi has worked with the Central Electoral Commission from March 2001 to May 2011.
For several years he has worked as member of the Consultative Task-Force EU-Albania in the negotiations for signing the Stabilization-Association Agreement.
