The Albanian President, Bamir Topi, and the First Lady, Teuta Topi,

of the first newborns, especially Roan, the first baby of 2012 for this
maternity. Roan came to life two minutes after the New Year.

“I wish to use this beautiful moment for wishing a happy New Year to all Albanians, and may this year be happy for all of us. In this important historical year for the Albanains, in the 100th anniversary of independence, in this wonderful sunny day, the wishes go to the newborns, so that they might have good health, family harmony, so that they can become dignified citizens of Europe tomorrow.

“I want to use this moment for thanking all of them who served on duty during the New Year’s night. While everyone else was celebrating, there were others who stayed on duty, starting from the medical personnel, to the police forces, and everyone else. I wish a happy new year to all of them”, Topi declared.

The President and his wife also met the maternity medical personnel, expressing their appreciation for the attention and dedication that they have shown for the newborns, and they also spoke with the new mothers.
