The Albanian President, Bujar Nishani, met with the EU Commissioner for
Migration, Internal Matters and citizenship, Dimitris Avramopoulos.
The President the support of the European Commission and guaranteed that Albanians have chosen the EU as the only alternative for their future.
As for the migration fluxes, President Nishani said that Albania, as all Balkan and European countries, have migration part of their story. He expressed his trust on a thorough solution of this problem at its source, by not avoiding the commitments of Albania as a country with a clear European perspective.
President Nishani said that it is very important to address the humanitarian and security aspects of this matter, by being more solidary with the human pain that has encouraged the flux.
