The President of Albania, Ilir Meta, is attending an official visit in Macedonia, where he met with the Albanian Prime Minister, Zoran Zaev.
Meta congratulated him for the progress made so far and expressed his hopes that the Prespa agreement between Greece and Macedonia gets implemented the soonest possible.
The president also underlined that Albania is committed to respecting the rights of the Macedonian minority, while underlining that the cooperation of both countries, under the Berlin process, is very important.
President Meta thanked Zaev for the nice atmosphere in Macedonia and noted his appreciation for the official celebrations for the National Day of the Albanian Alphabet in Skopje.
The Prime Minister of Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, noted that his country is implementing important reforms, focusing on a multi-ethnic society for everyone, with equal rights for all of its citizens.
“By implementing the Ochrid agreement and the law for the Albanian language; after completing the Perspa agreement with Greece; after the judiciary reform, the public administration, etc; Macedonia hopes to realize its dream for NATO accession”, Zaev declared.
