President appeals protesters to restrain themselves from violence

The president of Albania, Ilir Meta, issued a public announcement before today’s opposition protest.

“In the recent protests, despite the popular support, there were some unacceptable acts of violence. I want to remind you that the righteousness of your cause should not be damaged by the actions of some individuals”, Meta wrote.
