30 years ago, when a large part of the inhabitants of Ana e Malit village near Shkodra, bordering with Montenegro migrated, Ahmet Sylejmani decided to stay to invest in his lands.

Today his work is evidence of a success story as he owns tens of hectares of land planted, mainly with pomegranates which it exports to Tirana and outside Albania.

Ahmeti, who has been retired for years, does not regret leaving Albania but has an appeal. He encourages his neighbors and other cohorts to work in their country rather then leave to work abroad.
