Political climate postpones USA-Albania friendship meeting

The US Embassy to Tirana answered to the media queries for postponing the US-Albania Parliamentary Friendship Group.
The Embassy admits that the reason for this is the political climate in Parliament and the unwillingness of the Democratic Party to participate in the meeting.
US Ambassador, Donald Lu, held a meeting with the Prime Minister today. Sources from the government said for Top Channel that the Ambassador has met with Minister Milena Harito.
The meeting attracted attention because it was made two days before of the opposition’s protest.
This is the second time that the meeting of the US-Albania Parliamentary Friendship Group is being postponed, part of which are Parliament Members Tom Doshi and Mark Frroku, both part of the accusations of Tom Doshi, who sayd that Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta had planned his assassination.
