Police officer killed in Lezha; Xhuljano Prela ambushed in the early hours of the morning

Xhuljano Prela, 26-year-old officer of the FNSH Shkodra forces, while returning from Tirana towards his apartment, during the first hours of this morning was ambushed by a vehicle and shot several times.

One of the bullets hit the young man in the body and caused his death.

Xhuliano had left his house, according to sources, after receiving a phone call while on the highway, the perpetrators stopped him and shot towards him.

The 26-year-old had tries to escape but a bullet caught him in the body. His vehicle went off the road and ended up on a nearby plot, which led to this incident being initially reported as a road accident.

During the checks at the scene, three cartridges and a mobile phone were retrieved.

Prela, originally from Puka was a student at the Tirana Police Academy in the 3rd year. The deceased worked for two years at the Lezha Police Station, while for a year he was transferred to FNSH Shkodra.
