Police have announced that 37 drivers have been arrested in recent days, of which 24 for driving while intoxicated and 13 caught without a driver’s license.
187 driving licenses have been suspended, of which 105 for speeding, 52 for driving under the influence of alcohol and 30 for other violations of traffic rules.
Authorities said 82 drivers were fined for speeding in residential areas or racing, while 198 drivers were fined for traffic lights infringement.
210 drivers were investigated for using a mobile phone while driving, while 112 drivers were fined for not giving priority to pedestrians.
