After Kavaja, where 153 families whoise houses were damaged by the November 2019 earthquake were moved to new apartments, now it was Laçi’s turn further north.
500 families are expected to move into new homes soon, before the turn of the year.
The news was announced by the Prime Minister Edi Rama, through a post on Facebook.
“Ready for the return of 500 families affected by the 2019 earthquake in Laç”, writes Rama.
The authorities add that within the month of September, the work for the structural reinforcement of the 36 damaged buildings at DS4 level, will start.
The new apartments and blocks that are being built will be connected to the new water supply, which will provide water uninterruptedly to the residents.
Meanwhile, along with the neighborhood, works have started for the school where children will learn and use the new community facilities of the new neighborhood.
